lol, thanks dude. glad you liked the drop. :D
Hmm
I highly doubt you even made that guitar loop yourself, i think not.
In that case, the song is so pown because of a sample which you didn't make.
If you did play it, you rock. If not, this is lame.
It's a sampled song obviously, and it's not like I'm not done with this. I plan to work more on it. You haven't heard the original song nor have you acknowledged anything else besides the sample. Yes I know the sample makes the song good but I DID have to edit it for about an hour to get it the way I wanted.
Yeahhh
Very enjoyable once again (:
Hopefully it stays that way. :)
Ohw.
This is actually really good, the lyrics are very deep and the beat is kinda smooth... the voice sounds a little bland in the song, but that gives it a charm as well (:
glad you liked it :)
Ehmmm..
Not only were the melodies really random, the instruments sounded horribly flat...
I suggest you get some different VST's
It's a flat scale, but perhaps you may be right. Once I have some space (i.e. get my external HD working) I plan on getting more sounds
Yeah!
The volume is a bit too hard but... woah.
It's amazing. Gives me a radiohead kind of feel, mixed with sigur ros...
You sir, are genius!
Yeah, it does sound kind of distorted in this player. Won't sound like that if you download it.
And thanks a bunch for the kind review!
Oooohhh...
Dude.
That's ultimate relaxation <3
thanks dude
Well!
You gotta think a bit more about dynamics man. The piano sounded really flat, the composition is alright, but add some release to the piano or increase the length of the notes...
All good though.
Thanks for the review
Well...
While the voice is really pushing this song to a new level.. it's also being overused. I was expecting a drum to drop after the 2nd time it began with the start...
It's really depressing. very thematic.
I love it. (:
The voice sample isn't looped. It's from a movie about a man who was in a car accident and, as a result, can only function with blinking his left eye. In the scene the voice sample is taken from, a nurse uses the alphabet and the main character's eye blinking to form a sentence.
"Every day I'm waiting for you."
Very powerful scene.
Oh yeah (:
The melody is just great, the bassline is a little to much in your face for me, since it's not extremely varying througout the song. I wish the piano was a bit more present in the climax bits... All in all a great song, worth a 10 for sure.
The small details with distortion panning and sort is really, really nice. I would love to see some more obvious glitching per instrument, for example, small retrigger or gate effects on certain piano notes.
Also, to get a look at the mastering, the higher piano hotes were a bit hard on the ears, so i'dd suggest to turn down the high on the EQ a bit or turn down the velocity of the higher piano notes... (:
Don't get me wrong here, i'm giving 'criticism', but it only marks down the beauty flaws...
This is an amazing composition!
hey great criticism tijnn. I'm happy that you've took your time to listen to it and review :) These tips you give me are really worth opening reason again and edit that :) You're right now I listen to it.
thanks tijnn
